We are having a hard time finding quality employees. Our only method is an ad we have placed in the paper. Right now it reads
"Window Cleaner part-time vehicle and cell phone required."
Now let me say the reason we put in the cell phone and vehicle bit is to try to weed out the people who have proven to be unreliable. If you don't have a phone or car I have to assume you are going to have a problem showing up to work (it has been a big problem in the past). We have intentionally left the ad open to pull in as many candidates as possible but it is not working and frankly these ads are a little expensive to run week after week with no response.
I need a big pool to pull from because we are a little picky about
who we hire. We need someone who is clean cut, reliable, and trustworthy. This may seem like a given to all of you but you don't know how many times people tell us to just go down and get some day laborers, which in our area just so happens to be mostly illegal?s or in the very least people who do not speak English.
I would appreciate hearing how you all look for new employees when it is needed and how it is working out for you.
Thanks in
Advance
