Hello
Group,
In May
2006 marked One full year with a Professional Employment Organization
(PEO/ Employee leasing).
Wow I
wish I would have done it 8 years ago.
1. It has saved
substantial $$$$.$$, & time.
2. Payroll
headaches gone.
3. Dealing with
the IRS on withholding issues gone. (boy could I tell you some stories
about the IRS) Still dealing with IRS on problems from two years ago.
One day I get a refund for $1200.00 the next week I get
threatening letters from them to levy accounts.
4. We have a
401k for employees that have been here for one year or more. The PEO pays
for it I can choose to match or not.
5. Helped with a
legal employee hand book.
6. Peace of mind
on Legal employment liabilities, & IRS withholding
issues.
7. They handle
Payroll processing, Direct deposit, child support, W-2 completion,
Verify US citizenship, W-4 completion/ with holding and filling, FICA
& federal tax calculation, and payment, state tax calculation
& payment, Local tax payments, Federal unemployment Tax calculation
& payment, State unemployment Tax calculation & payment, Garnishment
Processing & payment, Quarterly reports FICA, Futa, and Suta, Handle IRS
audits, Wage & hour Compliance, Workers comp, 940 & 941 tax
fillings, check delivery, Full flex cafeteria plan, drug testing
& criminal history check.
After one full
year I have to say I love to save $$$.$$. It is not just that. The PEO
service has made it so we actually have time to get better at what we
do best.
When I
first herd about employee leasing I thought it was stupid. Why would I
want to lease employees? Now I feel stupid for not understanding the
concept. They have so many employees they have a lot of buy down
power. I first heard about employee
leasing here on the wc world net. It sounded like a Temporary Service.
Not at all, we hire the people and then send them to the PEO
service to fill out their paperwork. The PEO service then checks employment
records gets copy of Social Security card and copy of drivers
license. Then gives us feed back if they see some issues with employment.
At this
point I would have to say, If someone has not sat down and
explained to you exactly what a PEO Service can do for you. It would be
well worth your time to check into it. For me now, it is a no
brainer.
If you have any
questions I can give you the contact person for the PEO service we use
privately they work in several states.
Also for those
of you that are interested in a free window cleaning screen saver visit

Good
luck.... PEO is the way to go.... Just my $0.02
worth......
