First, all of my Ledgers have Ettore quick release installed on them, and all 
have the lower jaw that accommodates Sorbo channels.

I do not, and will not use the plastic end plug Sorbo. It was another of 
Soren's good in theory, bad in field ideas, in my opinion.  Clipless?  NOT!

When I said the second groove, I meant second from the back, or spine of the 
channel.  Rarely have I ever had to go to the third groove with a non 
sharpened rubber, in a Sorbo channel.
